Escape Phnom Penh on a guided half-day bicycle ride across the Mekong to Silk Island. Follow quiet backroads through orchards, market gardens and farming villages, pause for local snacks, and meet families keeping tofu-skin making and traditional silk weaving alive. Hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, Trek mountain bike and helmet, ferry crossings, water, snacks and a silk-house visit are included.

Tour schedule & highlights
Duration: Approximately 5 hours (half-day plan from 8:00 AM to around 12:30 PM) The tour proceeds as follows, offering a deep dive into local life: Hotel Transfer & Bike Shop Meeting: A free transfer vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Phnom Penh. Afterward, at the shop, you will receive size adjustments for high-quality mountain bikes (such as the reliable Trek Marlin 5), helmet fitting, and safety briefings. Departure to the Island by Local Ferry: After a short bike ride, you will board a local ferry crossing the mighty Mekong River. The view of Phnom Penh's urban skyline from the water is breathtaking. Cycling on Island's Backstreets & Morning Market: After landing on the island, you will cycle along quiet, car-free paths and through farmland. At an outdoor market along the way, you will enjoy sampling traditional Cambodian local snacks and fresh tropical fruits with your guide. Visiting Traditional Industries (Tofu Skin Making & Silk Weaving): We will visit a workshop in the quiet village of Koh Oknha Tei, where a family has been making "tofu skin" for generations. Afterward, we will visit a traditional stilt house and witness firsthand the breathtaking craftsmanship of a female artisan weaving intricate traditional silk on a handloom. Returning to Phnom Penh: With a pleasant feeling of fatigue, we will return to the city by ferry and be dropped off at our respective hotels around 12:30 PM, concluding the tour.
